| Michael Loar(1717-~1778) was first identified in the Emma Loar Gaddis' book "The Loar Genealogy with Cognate Branches 1774 - 1947" (1949). He was further identified by Marge Wittmier's report on the "History of the Loar Family". He was most likely born in Germany and settled in York County, Pennsylvania in 1737. Michael is the father of three children that are currently known. They are named Michael(1748-1788), Peter(Unk-Unk), and John(Unk-Unk). Only Michael Loar(1748-1788) has descendants listed in this register report.
