| Abraham L. Loar (1834-1902) was first identified in an Ancestor Chart prepared by Bonnie Sue Knox, Wooster, Ohio. His birthplace was listed as Germany. Abraham Loar was the father of at least two sons, John Loar (~1773- Unk) of Allegheny County, Maryland and Christian Loar Sr. (~1783-Unk) of Washington County, Maryland. John Loar had a number of children of which three are listed in this register report, they are John(1789-1854), George W.(1793-1882), and Moses(1789-Unk). Christian Loar Sr. had one child named Christian Loar Jr.(1802-1859). These families moved from Maryland to Muskingum County, Ohio and then to Licking County, Ohio. John Loar(1789-1854) and George W. Loar(1793-1882) both served in the War of 1812 from the State of Ohio.
